St. Josephs 4-20, Wolfe Tones 1-7
The Joes had a high scoring win away to the Wolfe Tones on Friday night. The Joes hit early goals from Kenzie Crowley and Laura O’Neill with Laura O’Neill and Deirbhle Morgan also adding points in the first quarter.
Annmarie Breen made it goal number three on 16 mins with a fine goal for the Joes. Points from Laura O’Neill, Annmarie Breen, Catherine Carey, and Deirbhle Morgan with two points in the final minute of the half had the Joes score at 3-7.
The Joes continued their high scoring in the second half with a string of points, from nine different scorers. The Joes had had early second half points from Catherine Carey, Tara Duffy, Kenzie Crowley, Deirbhle Morgan, Sharon Callan and Julie McLoughlin before goalkeeper turned forward Eimear Costello scored.
The Joes scored a fourth goal courtesy of Julie McLoughlin on 48mins, with further points from Eimear Costello, Annmarie Breen with two and points in the closing minutes from Emma O’Leary and Kenzie Crowley to leave the final score St. Josephs 4-20, Wolfe Tones 1-7.

U14 Div 2 League
Clan na Gael 5-10, St. Josephs 2-10
Goals at vital stages ensured the Clans came away with the points from this U14 match in Cluskey Park on Thursday night.
The Clans first goal came after 3mins, with Cormac Toner responding with a Joes point. The Joes hit back with four points in a row, a great turnover in midfield by Alex Dowd sent James McCourt through for a point. Three further points, one from Shane Agnew and two from frees from Alex Dowd had the Joes ahead. The Clans took the lead with three in a row from their ever dangerous centre forward.
With the game swinging from end to end an Alex Dowd effort went just wide of the left post and a James McCourt shot flashed across the face of the goal. While at the opposite end Calvin Toner made an excellent save to deny the Clans a second goal, the Clans ahead by 1-3 to 0-5 at the end of the first quarter.
Goals on 23mins and 25mins helped the Clans build their lead, with James McCourt and Alex Dowd replying for the Joes, the Clans leading at the break by 3-3 to 0-7.
The Clans started the second half with a fourth goal, the sides exchanging points with James McCourt and Alex Dowd on target for the Joes. A superb save from the Clans keeper on 12 mins was followed by another goal at the opposite end for the Clans, 5-7 to 0-9 at the end of the third quarter.
The Joes continued to create chances, the Clans adding two points before Alex Dowd soloed in from the right to hit the net for the Joes. Another Clans point was followed by a superb one handed save from Calvin Toner in the Joes goal. The Joes had a second goal when a long range shot from Donnacha Devlin was palmed the net by Aaron Reilly. A final point from James McCourt for the Joes left the full time score, Clans 5-10, Joes 2-10.

St. Joseph’s 2-16, Naomh Martin 0-18
In Round 3 of the Div 4 League on Tuesday night our Juniors had a four point win over Naomh Martin in Monasterboice. The opening quarter saw the sides level at 0-4 each with Jack Mulligan and Aaron Gray on target with two points each.
A further point from Aaron Gray and a two pointer from Jack Mulligan had the sides level after 22mins. The Martins finished the half strongly, points from Sean Allen and Aaron Gray kept the Joes in touch with the Martins ahead by 0-13 to 0-9 at the break.
The Joes were soon level in the second half as Aaron Gray scored the opening goal of the game. The sides traded points to leave the home side ahead 0-15 to 1-11 at the end of the third quarter.
The crucial score of the game came on 50mins when Killian Staunton hit a second Joes goal, with points coming from Rory McLoughlin and Oran McParland, the Joes winning by 2-16 to 0-18.
